Carla
Macias, Ph.D.

Carla is currently a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Psychology at Rutgers University-Newark.

 

Broadly, She is interested in understanding the nature of developing memory systems: working memory and long-term memory.

 

Specifically, Carla's work explores how children use their beliefs about the world to guide what they attend to and encode from their environment.

 

Carla is passionate about mentorship and making science accessible to all individuals.

 

These days, outside of her career,  she enjoys occasional neighborhood walks and a weekly virtual book club.
