Ja'lessa Hardwick

Ja'lessa is currently a 3rd-year doctoral candidate studying Counseling Psychology at New Mexico State University.
As a qualitative researcher, her interests are centered around social class stressors and academic achievement amongst Black students as well as racism experiences and professional development among Black women.
Clinically, Ja'lessa is interested in presentations of racial trauma and depression and the use of emotion-focused therapy for healing.
Ja'lessa recently matched and will be completing her pre-doctoral internship at Howard University.
In her spare time, she enjoys trying new hobbies and new foods.
